Our founder, Dr. Jane Pegg, is a Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist and Oral Surgeon, and a passionate advocate for pet dental health. Ascentra is the realization of her vision: a purpose-built hospital in Newmarket, Ontario, dedicated exclusively to veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.
Dental issues are incredibly com mon in pets and a tailored, patient specific approach is key to getting the best outcome in every situation. No two families are alike, no two pets are alike and no two situations are alike - this is why we treat every case as an individual and aim to provide optimal care for every pet and family we serve.

Our hospital is purpose-built in a brand-new, spacious building. We offer routine and advanced diagnostic and oral surgical care for pets both on a referral basis and a primary care basis for dental conditions.
We have intentionally chosen not to be a full service primary care hospital so that we can focus exclusively on providing dental and oral care for pets.

Major and advanced oral surgery such as cleft palate surgery, jaw fracture repair and oral tumor removal.

For After-Hours Emergencies
If you feel like your pet is having an emergency after hours and our hospital is not open, please take them to your nearest emergency facility.
For clients in need of after-hours care, we recommend VCA Canada 404 Emergency and Referral Hospital. It is the closest referral hospital to our hospital.
